ASRC Federal / Broadleaf Division is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Business/Software Quality Assurance Analyst position supporting our work with the National Park Service in Fort Collins, Colorado.  Our team develops and maintains systems related to natural resource monitoring as well as project and business operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Eliciting business and functional requirements from multiple stakeholder groups, organizing requirements, creating requirement specifications, and defining user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate meetings with multi-disciplinary teams and act as liaison between technical and business leaders
  • Create user interface mockups (wireframes), object models, and database diagrams to facilitate discussions and ensure a common understanding of requirements
  • Maintain traceability from high level requirements to low level test cases
  • Create and update complex business process models (flow diagrams)
  • Create SQL queries for data analysis, reporting, and end user support
  • Organize development sprints and facilitate stand-up meetings
  • Provide Production support to users when issues arise including initial diagnosis, reviewing error logs, and creating bug tickets for the development team
  • Verify and test bug fixes, enhancements, and new features to ensure user expectations will be met

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least five (5)+ years of Business Analysis or Software Quality Assurance experience in IT services. Preferably IT services supporting natural resource systems
  • Strong background in an Agile and/or SCRUM-based development environment is desired
  • Must have experience creating SQL queries and views as well as a strong understanding of database design

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (IT field or Business Information Systems is preferred)
