POSITION SUMMARY 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Your primary focus will be to transform data into meaningful insights by developing interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality Power BI solutions.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Design interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations that meet business requirements

  • Develop and implement data models and data transformation processes in Power BI
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements

  • Identify data quality issues and propose solutions to improve data accuracy

  • Optimize and enhance existing Power BI solutions to improve performance

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for Power BI solutions

  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and trends to suggest improvements and best practices


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Proven work experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service

  • Solid understanding of data modeling and database concepts, ideally Snowflake

  • Experience in designing and developing interactive dashboards and visualizations

  • Proficient in SQL for data extraction and transformation

  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration techniques

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities


Preferred Skills:
  • Additional experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or SSRS

  • Knowledge of data warehousing principles and dimensional modeling

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.


Denver area base salary range: $85,000 - $128,000 per year
