Budgeted Salary Range: $130,000-$140,000

Any disclosed pay range is based on a consideration of neutral factors and criteria such as required qualifications, experience, education, skill, training, certifications, seniority, etc. The Parking Spot reserves the right to offer the selected candidate or applicant a salary at an appropriate level to be set and determined by the employer that is commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications, experience, education, skill, training, certifications, or seniority.

Position Summary:

The Parking Spot's newly created Business Development Manager role will be responsible for the development of enterprise partnership opportunities for the company in travel consumer-related categories. This person will develop strategies and processes that guide their research and partner prospecting in the fulfillment of quarterly goals. The Business Development Manager will support regular internal reporting and presentations to sales leadership in accordance with the company’s planning. In addition to the fulfillment of KPI’s, this individual will embrace the culture of TPS and continually promote our innovative hospitality and technology service model to our clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researches relevant travel segments to identify major commercial partnership opportunities
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners
  • Discovers and explores business opportunities leveraging relevant data and can assemble strategic and financial recommendations on the viability of prospective partnership programs
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials
  • Attends and networks at relevant industry events to build relationships with prioritized channel relevant prospects
  • Embraces the TPS culture of industry-leading client support and follow-up in all account management and prospect efforts
  • Works cross-departmentally in the evaluation and implementation of commercial partnerships
  • Examines risks and potentials for business opportunities
  • Estimates partners’ needs and goals
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with all functional teams in the organization

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • 7-10+ years of consumer service/product business development experience, preferably in the travel or transportation related verticals
  • Experience in the affinity/loyalty program industry a plus
  • Experience managing KPI’s and CRM systems for a sales organization in pursuit of annual goals
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of financial reporting and discounting strategies
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and develop action plans that are tied to business objectives
  • Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively on a “one-on-one” basis and in group presentations
  • Ability to exemplify leadership behaviors and foster a team selling culture
  • Adept at accepting and leading change and innovation
