About the Job
Liquid Death is looking for an Art Director, Merchandise Marketing to focus on developing and executing art direction for owned and paid social advertising supporting Liquid Death merchandise. This role will solely be responsible for Liquid Death merchandising assets working with studio partners and creating shot lists for weekly merchandise launches. This includes retouching feedback, providing artistic direction, and developing concepts that align with the Liquid Death brand. This person will work closely with internal teams including Growth Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, and Design alongside external stakeholders such as our studio partners and freelance creatives. 

This is a full-time, hybrid role located in Los Angeles, CA and will report directly to the VP, Creative.
 
Responsibilities
  • Develop shot lists for weekly merch launches
  • Work with studio partners to provide retouching feedback
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute concepts for paid social ads featuring merchandise items
  • Work in collaboration with partner agencies to develop concepts and provide direction for merchandise items
  • Create merchandise assets for various owned channels (website, email, SMS, social, etc.)
 
Education and Experience
  • 5+ years as an art director, designer, photographer, or professional content creator
  • Previous experience in DTC fashion or apparel a huge plus
  • Experience MUST be demonstrated by a portfolio showing a variety of work
 
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
  • Extremely strong sense of art direction, design, and composition
  • Well versed in various social platforms and apparel marketing
  • Understanding of paid media and how to optimize creative using data
  • Insane attention to detail and high standards
  • Must be highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Highly proficient content creation (stills, video, editing)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Nice to have: studio and freelance network in Los Angeles
 
 Physical Demands
  • Hybrid role with location required in Los Angeles, CA
  • Ability to attend photo and video shoots 
  • Ability to travel to on-site locations in Los Angeles, CA
  • Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle to drive

The typical salary for this position is : $106k - $130k
The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes equity and benefits.
