This role is eligible for our hybrid work model: Two days in-office.
Whether it’s hotels, rental cars, flights, cruises or packages, our Lines of Business develop the relationships we need to generate great deals and then get them to Priceline customers - so they can experience all the moments that matter to them.
As an Area Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead and develop a hard-working team to ensure successful management of Priceline’s accommodation partnerships in your designated territories. You will enable the team to exceed defined acquisition and production goals that form a key part of Priceline’s business strategy.
In this role you will get to:
Lead and inspire a team of market managers that are responsible for building and maintaining hotel partnerships, and implementing data-driven strategies, to improve production and maintain a competitive advantage for Priceline and Agoda
Continuously coach and develop the skills and abilities of team members to improve team efficiency and performance
Analyze data to identify business growth opportunities and ensure the competitiveness of Priceline and Agoda’s products by evaluating market trends, partner performance, and competitor landscape
Lead the execution of overall market strategy and business plans to meet or exceed team targets, goals and/or strategic objectives as set by leadership
Develop and implement a strategy for the team’s business development activities, to establish, monitor and strengthen the productivity of new and existing partnerships
Foster effective internal partnerships by collaborating across business units to positively impact the overall performance of Priceline and Agoda and achieve company goals
Coordinate with senior management on long-term planning and objectives
Provide regular feedback to internal partners in developing effective and scalable solutions to improve reporting, processes and operational efficiencies
Represent Priceline in the local market, participate in industry organizations and events, and build Priceline’s presence by developing relationships with key decision makers at hotels, technology partners and other relevant partners
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in any relevant field
3-5 years travel industry experience required
5+ years team management experience
Experience connecting with and handling C-level executives
Proven success mentoring and building solutions-focused sales teams that foster long-term customer relationships
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence external and internal collaborators
Demonstrates executive presence and is comfortable speaking in front of groups
Highly developed numerical and analytical skills
Possesses self-awareness, a sense of curiosity and a growth mindset
Comfortable in two-way feedback culture
A great teammate with a professional “get it done” attitude and work ethic
Adapts well to change and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Flexible to travel for partner visits and meetings

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

Priceline is following a hybrid working model, which includes two days onsite as determined by you and your manager (ideally selecting among Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). On the remaining days, you can choose to be remote or in the office.
