Scope of this Position: 

The Area of Sales, reporting to the Vice President of Sales and property General Managers, will lead the sales operations for EOS Hospitality’s West Coast properties, including the L’Ermitage Beverly Hills. This role focuses on achieving financial goals, managing sales leaders to execute agreed-upon strategies, and increasing market share.

The Area Director will build relationships and manage accounts to ensure exceptional guest service and organizational leadership, contributing to EOS Hospitality's ongoing success.

 General Responsibilities Include:

  • Direct the workflow of the sales organization to reach departmental and hotel performance goals.
  • Works collaboratively with the sales team to ensure sales efforts are coordinated and not duplicated.
  • Provide sales leadership and insight on the group and transient RFP process, representing a holistic view of the hotel's needs.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Conduct performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline when appropriate.
  • Ensure training programs are conducted regularly and Company standards of performance are met. Give guidance and counsel staff toward improvement. 
  • Organize and/or lead scheduled Sales Department and related meetings.
  • Direct the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales Department, including, but not limited to, the annual and monthly Forecast, sales tactical planning, Lead Management System, Booking PACE Reporting, STR report analysis, and submitting weekly activity tracking with commentary.
  • Coordinate ongoing research of the travel industry to detect market trends and related information for the development of new direct sales strategies.
  • Make reasonable and informed recommendations to improve potential from existing and emerging markets.
  • Establish themselves as subject matter experts; serve the properties by understanding the Market, business issues, and concerns to offer better business solutions to the operation.
  • Represent the properties to the group market segments as needed to increase market penetration and exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Meet with and entertain clients, some of which will require travel.
  • Establish themselves as an EOS Hospitality ambassador; serve the customer by understanding their business, business issues, and concerns to offer better business solutions.
  • Supports the company’s service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
  • Provides excellent customer service consistent with the daily service of the company.
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to the staff.
  • Works collaboratively with the Marketing team to promote initiatives.
  • Initiate preparation of computerized annual Sales & Marketing Plan and execute plans as outlined, critically examining, and adjusting as deemed necessary by current market conditions.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

                  Skills/Knowledge Required:

                • A complete understanding forecasting, selling, of the Beverly Hills  travel market
                • Highly motivated individual who can work independently
                • Ability to handle confidential information discretely and in the proper manner 
                • Self-starter, and possess excellent presentation skills,
                • Proven track record of sales tactical planning and execution.
                • Proven track record of successfully leading a sales organization.
                • Ideal candidate, 3-5 years of luxury hotel sales experience
                • Effective decision-making skills 
                • Strong problem-solving skills
                • Strong organizational skills
                • May be required to work varying schedules and be able to travel
                • Good communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
                • Effective conflict management skills
                • Strong customer and colleague relation skills

                  Travel Requirements: This Sales Director position requires business travel.

                  Salary $185k + Incentive
