Job Summary:

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Senior Manager, the Accounts Payable Manager will lead a team responsible for timely and accurate execution of invoice processing and payment activities for our Retail business and 3rd party providers (utilities, alcohol), as well as manage the Corporate Card program and all Travel and Expense reimbursements. The individual will exhibit strong leadership, motivating the team to produce quality work within deadlines, while working cross-functionally to drive process improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Duties include invoice and payment processing, P-Card and T&E processing, manage 3rd party providers and partner to maintain vendor account reconciliations.
  • Instill a customer service mindset within the AP team to support business stakeholders.
  • Act as a point of escalation for AP, vendors and business process owners to ensure professional, accurate and timely remediation of issues.
  • Be a strategic business partner to coordinate with cross-functional teams to address the need for changes to processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide communication and training on processes and systems with internal stakeholders, suppliers and managed service providers.
  • Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement with our 3rd party providers to ensure service levels are maintained.
  • Review existing processes, structures, and systems with a focus on optimization and standardization.
  • Lead coaching and development across Retail and Managed Services AP team, including progressing leadership and professional skills on the team, managing of career development, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX by monitoring and reporting on key controls.
  • Timely and accurate review of journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
  • Understands the entire P2P cycle to quickly identify source of bottlenecks, problems and drives issues to resolution including impact and risk assessment, status reporting, etc.
  • Identify opportunities across AP to support process efficiency and automation opportunities.
Job Requirements Required:
  • B.A. or B.S. in Accounting, Finance or related field; relevant work experience also accepted in lieu of education requirements (6+ years relevant Accounts Payable experience)
  • Four or more years of accounts payable management experience
  • Experience in a high volume, fast paced environment preferably in high growth
  • Strong accounting and analytical background with a proven track record for understanding business processes and identifying opportunities for efficiencies
  • Organized and meticulous attention to detail, superb time management and problem solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in ability to connect and build relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously balancing multiple projects
  • Demonstrate learning agility and thought-leadership as business needs change and increase in complexity
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Peoplesoft, Coupa, Onbase, MMS, and Concur experience preferred.
The expected range is $74,100 - $96,465 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
