ABOUT NORTHERN TIER HIGH ADVENTURE BASE / BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
We're a national high adventure base for the Boy Scouts of America, we specialize in wilderness canoe treks in the Boundary Waters (Minnesota) and Canada as well as winter camping treks. In the summer, Scouts from Northern Tier's three wilderness canoe bases explore millions of acres of pristine lakes, meandering rivers, dense forests, and wetlands in Northern Minnesota, Northwest Ontario, and Northeast Manitoba. Our guiding values are the scout oath and law as well as providing life-changing experiences tailored specifically for scout units.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WINTER BASE STAFF MEMBER
As a Winter Base Staff Member, you are vital to the success of our program. Responsibilities vary based on position but all work together to support base camp operations. This is one winter that you will never forget and a job that will be the winter adventure of a lifetime!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A WINTER BASE STAFF MEMBER
Can you think critically and function independently with minimal supervision? Are you attentive to safety and take common-sense precautions? Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills? Can you work effectively with both youth and adults? Do you enjoy coaching others? SEASONAL WORK SCHEDULE
These support staff positions typically get one day off per 6 days on and work throughout the winter from mid-December to mid-March or early January depending on position and schedule.
