2024-2025 - Auxiliary Programs - Summer Camp Counselors

Isidore Newman School
On-site
New Orleans, Louisiana, United States

Newman Plus is recruiting camp counselors for our 2024 summer season with a passion for education to work in our Day Camp, Sports Camp, and early childhood programs. Here is a link to our website for an overview of the program .

We have approximately 500 elementary school aged students attending our programs daily.

Day Camp - rising 1st through 5th graders may design their own camp experience every day. This level of customization allows us to meet the interests of the athlete, the artist, the scientist, and the child who wants to try it all. Pre-K and Kindergarten campers have their own specially designed program.

Sports Camps - children have fun, developing skills, and improving their athletic ability in their favorite sport. Every week athletes will be able to focus on a particular sport; these include football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, soccer, track and field. Campers receive instruction from our knowledgeable and experienced varsity coaching staff and have the opportunity to put their newly acquired skills into play.

Green Trees Camp - staff guide and support our youngest campers (10 months - 3 years olds) through engaging activities within a structured camp day that allows time for indoor and outdoor play and rest.

Our staff work as a team to create a joyful summer experience by actively engaging and supervising our campers throughout the day, along with helping faculty and instructors facilitate the programming.
