Job Description
Camp Widjiwagan of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee is Now Hiring for a Camp Cook, Summer Seasonal Position Type: Seasonal Pay Range starts at $15 per hour (or more depending on experience) Minimum Age to Apply: 18 Season Dates: May 3rd - August 31st, 2026 Approximate Days and Shifts: You’ll typically work Sunday through Thursday or Friday through Tuesday, with shifts from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM; schedules may vary week-to-week based on camp attendance and program needs.

What You’ll Do:
Cook meals for campers, staff, and special events
- Help with meal prep, service, and cleanup
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen
- Ensure meals meet quality and budget guidelines
- Provide top-notch service to guests and accommodate dietary needs
Lite scratch cooking daily
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum Age: 18 High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Organized, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to bend, lift, pull, stoop, and stand for long periods of time
Experience with therapeutic diets (preferred):
