Accountant (GL)

Summary The Accountant, a key member of the General Ledger Accounting team, plays a crucial role in supporting the financial statement close cycle and operational accounting functions. This position is responsible for ensuring timely reporting and strict adherence to GAAP and company policies.

What You:

’ll Do Prepares for month and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analytical review, utilizing accounting knowledge Ensures the accuracy, completeness, and conformance of accounting transactions to departmental, organizational, and compliance policies and standards Performs activities within a public company's internal control environment, in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, to maintain organizational compliance Manages stakeholder requests, researching and responding to complex inquiries, and escalating as necessary Applies strong accounting knowledge, acumen, and technical expertise Collaborates with business partners to understand new activities and provide financial guidance Supports internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations Participates in special projects, including initiatives for process improvement Undertakes additional tasks to contribute to the team's overall objectives and key results

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Business-related field 2+ years of general accounting

experience:

An associate's degree in accounting with 3-6 years of significant progressive

in accounting would be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree

CPA certified or equivalent Public accounting

Strong understanding of general accounting principles and internal controls Proficient in accounting software (Blackline, BNA, Coupa, Intacct, Workiva, or Workday
