Position Summary Wellstar Paulding Hospital is seeking a Part-Time (.4FTE) Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our growing General Cardiology inpatient team.
This APP will support inpatient cardiac care in collaboration with cardiologists and the cardiovascular care team, focusing on high-quality, efficient, and compassionate patient management. The ideal candidate is a motivated team-oriented clinician with strong clinical decision-making
skills:
and a passion for cardiovascular medicine.
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient cardiology care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and daily rounding.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, hospitalists, nursing, and ancillary teams.
- Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination and transitions of care.
Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests such as ECGs, labs, and imaging.
- Manage common inpatient cardiovascular conditions under established practice protocols.
- Document all clinical encounters accurately and timely within the EMR.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and promote evidence-based practice.
- Schedule Part-time position - .4 FTE -16 Weekly Hours Inpatient-focused role
Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Current Georgia NP or PA license (or eligibility). National certification as NP or PA. Minimum 1–2 years of cardiology or acute care
experience:
