    Purpose The Cockrell School of Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to assist the CSE Dean’s Office Human Resources for up to 10 hours per week. The Human Resources Student Associate will support various HR functions, including administrative tasks, data management, and communication with employees.

    in HR operations within an academic environment. This position may be hired as either an undergraduate or a graduate Student Associate. This position is open for Spring 2026 and will continue throughout the future semesters, including Summer.

    Responsibilities:

    Data Entry, Reporting, and Documentation: Assist with maintaining and updating the HR wiki page, ensuring that policies, procedures, and other information are accurate and up to date Create or revise HR-related documentation and guides to ensure clarity and ease of use for employees Generate and review standard reports in Workday, including but not limited to headcount, timecard, and training completion reports Ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data in HR systems by performing regular data entry and updates Assist in compiling and organizing HR data for analysis or reporting purposes Administrative and HR Process Support: Respond to simple employee inquiries via email, providing helpful and timely responses and directing respondents to human resources and/or payroll tools and resources Provide administrative support to the CSE HR team by assisting with filing, maintaining calendars, and assisting with routine office tasks as needed Assist in ensuring deadlines are tracked and communicated, especially key milestones Assist in organizing and maintaining accurate files of the CSE Depts/ORUS/DOE employee personnel files and other HR related documents Onboarding Support: Support the CSE HR Team in the onboarding process for new employees by preparing welcome emails, assisting with paperwork collection, and ensuring a welcoming employment

    for new hires Organize, file, and maintain both physical and digital HR records in compliance with departmental standards Project Assistance: Assist with data analysis, compiling survey results, tracking project timelines, and helping to report on HR metrics Performs other related duties as assigned

    Currently enrolled student in good academic standing Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and familiarity with HR software systems (e.g., Workday), a plus Strong organizational

    Availability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week Ability to work up to 3 hours in a given shift Salary Range Undergraduate Student Associate: $12 per hour Graduate Student Associate: $15 per hour

    based on the university student employment pay scale.
