Job Description
Telluride Ski Resort is committed to maintaining continuous operations and supporting mountain safety and the guest experience. We are currently accepting applications for reliable, skilled, ski patrol professionals to join our team on a temporary basis to ensure continued operations and as a precautionary measure due to a potential labor dispute with the Communication Workers of America Local 7781, United Mountain Workers.
These are temporary positions to support business operations at this time that could lead to permanent opportunities in the future depending on business needs and individual performance.
Depending on experience, the Patroller may be responsible for all aspects of ski patrol, including but not limited to, first aid and evacuation of injured guests, trail checks, guest service, avalanche mitigation, risk management and incident investigation.
Candidates must possess a current Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) or Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) certification and a minimum of 1 season of ski patrol experience. In addition, applicants must have a high level of fitness and ski (no snowboards) at an expert level or better. Experience in avalanche mitigation, beacon search/companion rescue and high angle rescue are a plus.
Pay range: $24.50 and goes to the average rate of $37.50 per hour depending on experience. Lodging assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
