Description:

This Technician position functions as a team with the Contracts Engineer and interacts with staff at all levels of the department and with the public such as contractors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

may include, but are not limited to: Assisting with the managing of the Elations computer program for Certified Payrolls Communicates with all MaineDOT Programs and offices as well as other agencies in State Government Generating reports to provide information to the Contracts Engineer, Director of Civil Rights and Maine DOL Provides training to MaineDOT Programs and offices., Assist in Awarding contracts and prequalifying contractors, Assists with tracking documentation Ensuring that the tasks of others meet schedules, conform to established procedures, and guidelines.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following

experience:

Five (5) years of

experience:

in engineering –OR- an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and three (3) years of

experience:

in engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and one (1) year of

experience:

in engineering.
