Education:
Teacher to join their dynamic team. JOB
DESCRIPTION:
This is a year-round, 224-day position. Primary responsibility of this position will be to provide evidence based instructional practices and special
education:
- support of various high school subjects to students detained within the Long Creek Youth Development Center, assisting students in their continuing
education:
towards obtaining a high school diploma or GED. Typical Duties (
responsibilities:
may include, but are not limited to the following): -Assessing the level of functioning of all students. -IEP development and implementation. -Consulting with regular
education:
teachers on IEP modifications and student needs. -Coordination work with other schools the student may be transferred to or from. -Conduction pre-and post-tests when applicable. -Maintaining sources of data collection. -Managing student records in a timely and appropriate manner. -Participating in staff development activities.
-Working with others to address and resolve student issues. -Serves as a role mode while managing student behavior. -Helps locate, order and promote materials to improve reading instruction.
REQUIREMENTS:
In order to be successful in this position you will need to have knowledge and abilities in the following areas: -Knowledge of department functions, objectives, policies and programs. -Knowledge of teaching principles, practices methods and techniques. -Knowledge of human behavior and performance and individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning and motivation.
