DESCRIPTION:
This is maintenance and personal services work in providing service to boat facility users by maintaining and repairing boat launching facilities.
Responsibilities:
include: Enforcing boating facility rules and regulations Maintaining gravel roadways with skid-steer loaders Patrolling facilities, cleaning latrines, maintaining and repairing grounds, maintaining float systems, reporting problems and malfunctions Operating and repairing power equipment Mowing lawns, emptying trash, cleaning and repairing buildings at boat access sites.
Travelling daily up to a hundred fifty-mile radius of Richmond during the boating season. Winter duties will include assisting in preparing lumber and constructing 16’ and 20’ floats, 8’ to 38’ gangways, 19’ yardarm sign poles and snow removal. Position is responsible for maintaining and repairing the boating facilities building complex and grounds in Richmond and being knowledgeable of security alarm system used at facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) year of
experience:
in park maintenance and operation or equivalent. Valid Class C Maine motor vehicle operator’s license.
Preference will be given for:
Experience:
in reading blueprints, planning, building, and maintaining floating dock systems. Certification to operate a chainsaw at BPL level I or II Training/
experience:
operating skid-steer and back-hoe tractors; truck mounted cranes; towing 6-ton trailers; gas powered line painting equipment.
