    #parttime Job Title: Tour Guide

    • Reports To: The Tour Guide will report to the Client Services Supervisor, Client Services Manager, or equivalent leadership.

    Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center is an iconic New York City attraction, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline from the Observation Deck. We are seeking dedicated and customer-oriented Tour Guide/s to join our team! As a valuable member of the team, you are the face of the famous popular observation deck and will be responsible for creating uniquely unforgettable experiences for our guests. Our team members are empowered to create singular moments by displaying a strong attention to detail and anticipating our guests’ needs. Applicants should demonstrate an ability to quickly learn and communicate information pertaining to Top of the Rock as well as other aspects of Rockefeller Center. You will be the primary point of contact to greet and guide guests through the attraction while providing an exceptional guest service experience.

    Business Hours: Monday - Sunday, 7AM-12AM Typical Work Schedule: 9:00AM-5:00PM and 5:00PM-11:00PM/12:00AM

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Greet, guide and register visitors Must be able to communicate in a clear and concise tone of voice Portuguese and Spanish, and other languages is an advantage but not required. Must be punctual and comfortable leading groups of 10-25 people

    • Demonstrate a strong command of names, scripts, dates and stories representing this historic landmark

    Field all questions from guests regarding the Observation Deck and New York City Must actively increase their knowledge and awareness of the site Qualifications:a

    Experience in art, architecture, history and art history is highly preferred:

    Must feel comfortable in operating wireless tour equipment Outgoing, enthusiastic personality and genuine interest in providing optimal guest service Ability to understand and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing Must enjoy working with the public Cooperative, team player mentality Shifts: Must have open availability including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays

    Must be willing to work as necessary in changing climate conditions

    • Maintain a positive attitude in the work environment

    High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
