If you have a passion for preparing quality food and delivering exceptional guest experiences, we want you to be part of our culinary team! As a Cook, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests receive fresh, well-prepared meals while working in a newly renovated and energetic environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared and served in compliance with StepStone and hotel quality standards.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, equipment, and storage areas.

Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and cleaning of kitchen areas.

• Monitor food quality, freshness, and temperatures throughout service.
• Assist with food prep, stocking, and inventory as needed.
• Communicate effectively with service staff to ensure timely and accurate food service.

Notify the manager immediately of any food safety concerns, equipment issues, or guest complaints. Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.

• Assist other kitchen and service team members with duties as requested.

Requirements:

One (1) year of cooking or kitchen experience preferred. Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment. Must have knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. High school education preferred; relevant training and experience required. Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certifications (e.g., food handler permit). CPR and first aid training preferred. Additional language ability preferred.
