Part-Time, Temporary/Seasonal, Non-Exempt Position General Summary Red Hot Summer Camps at Roland Park Country School provides experiential, hands-on experiences led by talented and expert teachers in STEAM, visual and performing arts, sports, cooking, and more.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (shifts available are 7:00am-3:30pm or 10:30am-6:00pm), split shifts available
Dates of Employment: June 15 – August 11, 2026 Position Overview We are seeking enthusiastic, high-energy Summer Camp Counselors who are passionate about working with children. Counselors play a key role in creating a safe, supportive, and fun summer experience for campers. This position requires reliability, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude while assisting with daily camp operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with morning and afternoon carpool procedures to ensure safe camper arrival and dismissal.
- Support camp program instructors during activities, games, crafts, and special events.
- Help with day-to-day camp management, including attendance tracking, supply distribution, and general organization.
- Provide active hallway supervision and help maintain positive camper behavior.
- Participate in lunch duty and supervise campers during meals.
- Oversee playground activities, ensuring safety and engagement for all campers.
- Build positive relationships with campers and team members.
Serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
Work Conditions:
A mix of indoor and outdoor supervision of children during play. Must be able to dress for a variety of weather conditions.
Compensation and Benefits:

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Enthusiastic, high-energy personality with a passion for working with children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, walk up and down stairs, and actively engage with children (including running during games). Prior experience working with children, youth programs, or recreation settings is preferred but not required.
CPR/First Aid certification a plus
