Within POWDR’s portfolio are seven mountain resorts including Copper Mountain and Eldora Mountain Resort in Colorado; Boreal Mountain Resort and Soda Springs in the Lake Tahoe region of California; Mt. Included in the POWDR portfolio, is Stovepipe Wells located in Death Valley National Park, operated under a long-term concessions contract with the National Park Service. Zion Lodge is in National Register of Historic Places designed in 1924 by Gilbert Stanley Underwood in the National Park Service rustic style.
The Zion Lodge is a year-round operation with 76 hotels rooms, 6 suites and 40 cabins as well as a restaurant, outside grab and go café, bar, gift shop and auditorium space. In the year 2025 a coffee and wine bar will be opening. Zion Lodge is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Zion National Park.
Over the next few years, the resort will undergo upgrades to rejuvenate accommodations and dining for public enjoyment. Renewable energy projects and energy efficiency upgrades will also be completed as well as other Sustainability innovations. POWDR operates Zion Lodge under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.
Job Summary: As the Front of House Lead – Red Rock Grill, is responsible for ensuring an outstanding guest
experience:
by overseeing the front-of-house operations.
- Reporting directly to the Red Rock Grill Supervisor, the FOH Lead works closely with the team to manage daily service, supervisor FOH staff, and maintain a welcoming, efficient, and clean dining environment.
The FOH Lead plays a key role in upholding service standards, ensuring smooth operations, and addressing guest concerns in a timely manner. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and supervise front-of-house team members, including hosts, servers, and bussers.
- Ensure all FOH staff adhere to service standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and BOH team to ensure seamless and efficient service during busy periods.
Address guest concerns or complaints in a professional manner, resolving issues promptly to enhance the guest
experience:
- Assist in scheduling and organizing shifts to ensure adequate coverage for daily operations.
- Monitor FOH inventory levels (e.g., utensils, napkins, tableware) and coordinate replenishments as needed.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, key information, and expectations to the team.
- Ensure cleanliness and presentation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and host stand.
- Support onboarding and ongoing training of FOH staff, providing guidance to maintain high standards of service.
- Collaborate with the Red Rock Grill Supervisor and BOH team on operational improvements and team development.
