POSITION SPECIFICS The Black School of Business of Penn State Behrend is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in Project and Supply Chain Management starting August 2026. Qualified candidates will be considered for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor (A Ph.D. or DBA in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field is required by the appointment start date).
High-quality teaching and research will be expected of the selected candidate, along with a program of scholarship consistent with the School’s tenure, workload, and AACSB standards. Teaching
responsibilities:
will include a mix of undergraduate and graduate courses delivered in both residential and online formats. Potential assignments include introductory business statistics, as well as introductory and advanced courses in supply chain management, data analytics, and project management. We also seek candidates to expand our robust research agenda in supply chain management and project management that further contribute to advancing knowledge and address contemporary challenges facing business and society.

The startup package includes summer research funding during the first year, along with ongoing annual support for travel to professional meetings and access to major statistical packages and databases. Salary is negotiable and competitive with other AACSB-accredited schools of business.
