Receiving Clerk - 2nd Shift

We welcome our veterans to apply! Lakeside Book Company is looking for a Receiving Clerk to join our Plainfield team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling the receipt of goods and materials, ensuring that all items are accurately accounted for and processed in a timely manner. As the first point of contact for incoming deliveries, you will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the warehouse. You will be tasked with inspecting deliveries for damage, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and entering data into our inventory management system. The ideal candidate should possess a proactive approach to problem-solving and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

As our Receiving Clerk, you will:

Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage. Verify quantities and specifications against purchase orders. Enter received items into the inventory management system.

• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
• Assist in categorizing and labeling products for easy identification.
• Report any damaged items or materials to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications:

Ability to lift, stand, carry, stoop, bend, push, and pull up to 50lbs throughout your 8 to 10-hour shift. Previous receiving experience in a warehouse setting, required. Previous forklift experience, preferred. Basic computer skills, including Google Docs and Sheets. Excellent communication skills. Pay, Shift, & Location

Pay: $18.50/hr, plus $2.50/hr shift differential for 2nd shift Shift: 3:00pm to 11:00pm, Monday-Friday, with over time as required Location: 700 Airtech Parkway, Plainfield, IN 46168
