    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Senior Marketing Manager will lead and execute strategic marketing initiatives that elevate the iconic Big Cedar Lodge destination brand, support resort-wide business objectives, and drive revenue across all outlets. This role manages and oversees advertising, promotions, integrated marketing campaigns, and community outreach, ensuring alignment with business goals and brand standards.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    In partnership with the Director of Marketing, lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies and campaigns that support occupancy, revenue growth, seasonal priorities, and brand initiatives.

    • Oversee campaign planning, timelines, budgets, and performance metrics across print, digital, broadcast, direct mail, native and branded content.
    • Ensure all marketing efforts align with Big Cedar Lodge brand standards, voice, and long-term strategic vision.
    • Manage advertising strategy, placement, and optimization across paid channels.
    • Collaborate with analytics and revenue teams to evaluate campaign effectiveness and guide data-informed decision making.
    • Develop and manage resort-wide promotions in collaboration with lodging, dining, recreation, and retail partners.
    • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and community outreach opportunities that strengthen brand presence and local/regional engagement.

    Represent Big Cedar Lodge in select community, tourism, and industry initiatives.

    • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to marketing team members and project contributors.
    • Collaborate across marketing, operations, sales, communications and public relations to create and deliver a unified brand story and seamless guest experience.
    • Manage external agencies, freelancers, and vendors to ensure high-quality, on-brand deliverables.
    • Oversee marketing budgets, forecasts, and campaign spend with accountability and ROI focus.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and priorities are met.
    • Maintain organized workflows, documentation, and reporting processes.
    • Oversee the production of marketing and resort collateral in accordance with brand standards

    Partner with Bass Pro Shops, Johnny Morris Conservation Foundation, Big Cedar Golf, and Thunder Ridge Nature Arena marketing departments to create and deliver successful marketing collateral and campaigns. Other duties as assigned

    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field is preferred 4+ years of marketing experience, preferably in hospitality, travel, or luxury brands

    Experience marketing multi-faceted destinations or resort environments preferred:

    Proven success managing integrated marketing campaigns and advertising programs Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role with experience in coordination and managing staff

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

    Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required Strong strategic thinking, project management, and communication skills required

    Experience in managing budgets and external partnerships:

    Familiarity with CRM platforms, marketing automation, and performance analytics Ability to effectively adjust to major changes in work tasks or the work environment. Skilled at focusing and guiding others in accomplishing work objectives. Skilled at building a cohesive team and facilitating goal accomplishment.

    Ability to interact with others in an honest, fair and respectful way; giving others confidence in one's intentions and those of the organization. Skilled at clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media; engaging the audience and helping them understand and retain the message. Ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships; actively seeking information to understand and address customers' needs.

    Sets high standards of performance for self and others; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks. Skilled at establishing courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently. Ability to identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing solutions.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Regularly walks, sits, stands and does computer work. Seldom/Never lifts up to 50 lbs.

    INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

    • Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
