Inventory Control Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Specialist maintains and promotes accuracy of retail store inventory by working and reviewing various inventory reports, conducting on demand inventory audits and communicating results with store management. This multi-function role partners with the sales floor, receiving teams and retail leadership in order to maintain inventory accuracy, promote replenishment and sales while mitigating merchandise loss and shrink for the organization.

This position provides customer service support throughout the store. They perform various selling/customer service activities, to include greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance and direction to customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains inventory integrity and accuracy by executing on demand and prescriptive inventory cycle counts.

• Conducts empty peg and display integrity scans within the departments and completes appropriate inventory adjustments to maintain in stocks and replenishment.
• Investigates and reconciles all inventory variance reports including but not limited to negative on hand review, aged in transit, purchase order discrepancies, etc. Reviews and distributes price change reports to department leadership

Completes inventory review and adjustments based on returned reports as needed.

• Communicates opportunities / issues / discrepancies with Store Leadership for review and resolution.

Ability to write reports and effectively present information from findings to management. Ability to communicate with retail sales floor outfitters and leadership on price changes and inventory accuracy.
