Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Communications Specialist will work closely with operations, public relations, food & beverage, and marketing team members. This position will be responsible for developing and executing internal and external communications for Bass Pro - Hospitality. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Serve as a steward of Bass Pro Shops Hospitality core messages and mission.
- Create on-brand email marketing campaigns promoting Big Cedar products and services.
- Assist with social media content creation and departmental print advertising.
- Maintain event calendars and collaborate with web developers on departmental web content.
- Ensure all communications (emails, texts, etc.) follow brand standards and templates.
- Develop project plans to support communication goals and priorities.
- Contribute to editorial calendar planning through story sourcing and content ideation.
- Build and maintain email databases for lead generation; manage opt-outs and non-deliverables.
Propose marketing copy with persuasive calls-to-action for campaigns and promotions.
- Track and analyze marketing campaigns; use data to recommend improvements.
- Coordinate database integrity and security across multiple platforms.
Become a subject matter expert in Inntopia/Flybook for Food & Beverage offerings.
- Develop list segmentation and reporting in Inntopia to guide digital advertising and KPIs.
Partner with resort departments to create upsell communications and benchmark competitors.
- Maintain knowledge of online booking engines for reservations and activities.
- Plan and execute content strategies to advance Big Cedar Hospitality’s mission internally.
Align messaging with other communication specialists; deploy content timely. Publish stories to enhance associate engagement; monitor performance and sentiment. Edit and proof communication materials; identify opportunities for associate-generated content. Foster relationships across hospitality departments; propose engagement strategies.

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent 2+ years of
