POSITION SUMMARY: The Asset Protection Manager II is a salaried position that directly reports to the Market Asset Protection Manager and will maintain and monitor all asset protection, security, compliance and safety related functions within the property. The mission of the Asset Protection team is aimed at reducing shrink, maintaining accurate inventory, maintaining compliance, and ensuring a safe and secure environment for our employees, customers and guests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Leads the Asset Protection team (up to 15 outfitters) within the facility, ensuring schedules are completed and meet the needs of the business, follows up on training
requirements:
for First Aid, CPR and AED, develops the team and oversees new-hire AP onboarding, interviewing for vacant AP positions and completes performance reviews.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service to outfitters, customers, vendors, on site law enforcement and hotel or restaurant guests who may need assistance, are having medical concerns or are acting suspicious or inappropriately.
- Provides leadership and oversight to operational parts of the business such as Cycle Counts, Inventory Adjustments, Trailer Audits, Firearm Compliance, Audits and more.
- Oversees investigations on the property of criminal activity, policy violations, illicit behavior, workplace accidents, workplace violence and instances of operational or nefarious loss.
Will directly oversee the Pyramid Investigator.
- Reviews and approves all internal reports, daily shift and hotel incident logs, prepares detailed and accurate reports in a timely manner and may be required to testify in court.
Is responsible for maintaining equipment, conducting equipment inventories, ordering replacement supplies and ensuring AP team has and is wearing proper uniforms.
- Collaborates with business partners on site to include Store, Hotel, Restaurant, Valet and Vendors to ensure business needs are met.
Will participate in weekly business partner meetings.

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred Degree: Associate Degree in Hospitality, Business or Criminal Justice. Certificate(s) or License(s): Wicklander-Zulawski Interview and Interrogation Certification. Years of
experience:
3 plus years of leadership
experience:
in security or asset protection.
KNOWLEDGE,:
SKILLS:
, AND ABILITY: Ability to lead/mentor a team of Asset Protection Coordinators, Managers and an Investigator, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure operational excellence. Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management, electronic point of sale and inventory management systems.
Ability to effectively present information to individuals and larger groups, respond to questions from managers, law enforcement, customers, general public and more. Ability to read and analyze certain reports. Ability to write reports, make schedules, create presentations and handle stressful contacts with potential perpetrators while remaining professional and making sound business decisions.
Ability to create weekly or monthly updates and present to Market Asset Protection Manager, Regional Director and Regional Asset Protection Manager. Current First Aid / CPR / AED certification is preferred.

Travel may be requested from time to time to support neighboring stores owned by Bass Pro Shops and if directed, would be less than 25%.
