Senior Accountant

Job Title: Accountant II Job Description The Accountant II will play a pivotal role in the general ledger close process, U.S. GAAP financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal control requirements. This position demands a detail-oriented individual with robust analytical skills, a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both public accounting and industry settings, particularly within a public company environment.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in and lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to meet financial reporting deadlines.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Assist in preparing timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Support compliance with internal control over financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with researching and documenting technical accounting issues.
• Prepare schedules and provide support for internal and external audits.
• Manage the Accounts Receivable function and collaborate with the Accounts Payable Manager.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support project management.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and participate in special projects.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information.

Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA is preferred.

Experience in a publicly traded company and/or public accounting firm is highly desirable.:

High level of integrity and professionalism. Work Environment This is a 100% onsite role, open to both relocation and local candidates. The role is part of the Corporate Accounting Team and involves collaboration with various team members, including Accounts Payable Manager and Treasury Accountant. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Cedar Park, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Adding benefits to draft role and have a copy of benefits package for FTE's for candidate review. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Cedar Park,TX.
