The Role The a16z Executive Talent team operates in an innovative and progressive way and is built on our core values of Integrity, Network, and Innovation. The Go-to-Market Talent Partner will assess, build, and manage a network of sales, marketing, BD and customer success leaders for the benefit of our key stakeholders, including portfolio companies.
The preferred location for this role is Menlo Park, CA. We will consider candidates in San Francisco Bay Area, CA. The role may require in-office presence as needed for team meetings and portfolio company meetings (approximately bi-weekly).

For Search Firm Partners: Partner and grow our relationships with the best search firms For a16z: Continue to expand the a16z network and connect the firm with industry leaders and as a result, identify potential investment opportunities for the firm Minimum Qualifications 6+ years experience in full-cycle recruiting for go-to-market teams
Strong network of relationships in the enterprise technology sector
Experience in assessment, recruitment, and building executive teams, as well as exposure to compensation trends and benchmarking:
Ability to influence and partner with Founders, CEOs, and other executives
Experience in developing and cultivating relationships with VP and director level talent, search firms and staffing organizations:
Proven track record of managing a fast paced workload, balancing multiple tasks and priorities, and switching gears seamlessly Excellent verbal and written communication Low ego, high empathy, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse teams Behavioral Strengths Energized by meeting and assessing talent as a natural “connector”
Able to quickly gain insights about people’s capabilities and about organizations Able to understand, evaluate and articulate motivations and organizational dynamics Self-starter; strong mental agility, creative thinking, astute research and problem solving skills Analytical and able to make decisions using sound judgment; strong appreciation for data
Results-oriented: tenacious and fast moving finisher Ultimate teammate: collaborative, encouraging, and generous, and helpful The anticipated salary range for this role is between $239,000 - $278,000, actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope.
